The Senior Project Manager is a full time position at Nucleus, one that provides a foundation for the companies smooth running. Working closely with the Director and Senior members of the team you will be responsible for developing innovative procedures to ensure standards are kept to a high as we diversify the solutions and services we offer across residential, commercial, and military projects.

Our hardworking team pride themselves on attention to detail and have a highly collaborative attitude. From installing high end cinema rooms to wiring racks on site no two days will be the same. 

Your duties will be varied, and the role will require you to be an integral part of a small team with great communication skills to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

We are looking for a confident and knowledgeable Senior Project Manager to join the team and assist the day to day managing and Installation of projects. The vast majority of the work week is based in Central London working across multiple job sites; however, you will be joining Nucleus as we move into an exciting phase where the commercial side of the business is expanding, and regional travel may be required.

 

In this multi-faceted role, you will be required to:

  • Work closely with multiple parties including the end user / client and other professionals and project stakeholders; colleagues in systems design, project engineering, procurement, and logistics; installation engineers; other trades on site; product specialists and suppliers.
  • Plan a project’s scheduling work and resources to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure that all members of the project team are directed in an organised, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Install AV equipment including racks, large format displays, projectors, cabling.
  • On site you will set the bar high, delivering hands-on installation work to a meticulous standard; advising other installers on best practises and workflow; motivating these individuals; supervising quality of workmanship and health and safety.
  • Create and maintain accurate up to date installation records and on-site reports.
  • Developing Support and Maintenance structures and supporting the Director in procuring Income Generation as a whole.
  • Ensure that the quality of the delivered system is maintained.
  • Supervise Junior technicians on site and carry out regular spot checks.
  • Communicate with the Director and report any problems accurately and efficiently.
  • Carry out any duties as requested by the Director.
  • Be flexible and willing to work hard to deliver beyond client expectations.
  • Fault Finding and troubleshooting on and off site.
  • Interpret system schematics and construction drawings.
  • Sharing out of hours support provision.

 

Your work will include the following:

Installation and commissioning of home automation equipment including but not limited to:

  • Infrastructure cabling and termination.
  • Network routers, switches and wireless access points.
  • Lighting processors, modules, interfaces and keypads.
  • Intercom and entry systems.
  • Audio processors, amplifiers and switchers.
  • Video processors, switchers and transmission equipment.
  • Various forms of speakers.
  • Various forms of display devices such as televisions and projectors.
  • Lighting processors, modules, interfaces and keypads.
  • Integrated control processors, modules and user interfaces.

 

Who we are looking for

We are looking for extremely motivated individuals who will relish the opportunity to work in a growing team with possibilities to progress within the company. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the custom installation industry, in the high end residential and commercial sector.

The ideal candidate needs to be task focused and detail orientated, with excellent time management and organisational skills. Someone who enjoys seeing projects through to completion.  

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in cable termination and rack building.
  • Experience in home automation, networking, lighting and audio video systems such as Crestron, Lutron, Savant, Ruckus, Sonos.
  • Familiarity with Domotz remote management and monitoring platform.
  • Understanding of computer networking.  
  • Able to work autonomously with a willingness to work until the job gets done.
  • Strong trouble-shooting skills, with the ability to analyse and reflect to determine the best possible solution for clients, not necessarily the quickest and easiest option.
  • Excellent time management, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and go above and beyond when needed.
  • Be highly organised, flexible and able to approach different types of tasks during the working day. The ability to prioritise and work under pressure is essential.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain consistent high standards across all project sites.
  • Full clean UK Driving License.

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Auto cad.
  • Valid Health and Safety Awareness Course Certificate.
